N2F has an intelligent scan (OCR) which recognizes information on a receipt's photo!
The software will detect and fill in automatically:
- The date of the expense,
- The total amount,
- The VAT rate and amount (even in case of multiple VAT-rates),
- The currency,
- The supplier's name,
- The amount in case of fuel,
- Tourist tax.
You may find below some advice to follow when taking a picture for the data on the receipt to be more accurate.
- Tip n°1: Take a picture in portrait mode and as straight as possible
A well oriented picture will result in a better information recognition:
- Tip n°2: Avoid over-exposed and under-exposed pictures
- Tip n°3: Place the receipt as flat as possible
Try to use not too crumpled or folded receipts.
- Tip n°4: Crop image to resize it to the shape of the receipt
