In order to calculate mileage allowances, you can either choose the amount according to a fixed scale (ex. French fiscal scale) associated to the vehicle, or you can create your own fixed scale. You can then insert it inside an expense category.

Apart from the Vehicle file setting of the allowance scale, you can now save yourself the creation of as many vehicles as there are employees by configuring the fixed scale inside a "Distance" type category.
As you can see on the following screenshot, it is however impossible to modify the scale in a Mileage category if it has already been used for some expenses.
To do so, you need to create a new "distance" type category so as to configure the fixed scale mileage allowance. In order to do this, enter the "Rules" tab and then tick the "Define a fixed amount for mileage allowances" box and enter the chosen amount.
In the "Display" tab, the "Vehicle" field will not be present.
